According to UK law, a Commissioner for Oaths is appointed by the Lord Chancellor with the power to administer Oaths or take affidavits. All practising solicitors have these powers but must not use them in proceedings in which they act for any of the parties or in which they have an interest. Mrs Sindhu Joseph is a practising solicitor at AAN Joseph Solicitors and, therefore, a Commissioner for Oaths, having the authority to administer oaths, take affidavits and statutory declarations and certify documents as true copies of the original.
